We can start to feel as if we do have much to invest in ourselves. When we are running errands, and trying to figure out how to meet all your many deadlines. How do you prioritize your time and energy? The shutdown has given many of us a lot of time to reflect. Post pandemic, my time was divided between what other people need me to do and my daily responsibilities. I spent my time focusing on the truly essential things. Now I am forced to slow down.
As I am slowing down, I am learning the difference between essentials and nonessentials. I am more focused than I have ever been. I wanted to share my journey right now because I am sure there are many of you out there who might be experiencing something similar. Having to slow down isn’t easy for those of us who fill our time with activities and obligations. Now we are forced to zero in on our goals. You can use this time to be productive and take the necessary steps to achieve your goals. Developing yourself or learning new information.
I am beginning to understand why God allows contrast in our lives. It is the contrast the produces the desire to pursue the things we want out of life. During this time, we have the rare opportunity to slow down and clearly define our mission.
My deepest condolences, for all affected by the novel coronavirus. I pray for strength through this season. Be encouraged! Know God is with you every step of the way.
